About Accessibility Events
Accessibility events are now being held around the world.
They are called “camps”, “unconferences”, and “conferences”, but the purpose is always the same:
- To bring developers, usability professionals, web designers, other IT professionals, and end users with or without disabilities together in an informal, non-threatening environment
- To learn from each other
- To promote universal design of and accessibility to IT
The Boston event is a combination of “unconference” and “conference”. While we schedule some sessions in advance, we also make slots available for people who want to present a session or moderate a discussion.
What’s more, the event is free of charge to participants. However, donations of any size are gratefully accepted to help provide food, drinks, and more.
